Love Nest – Starr Crest Resort

Fantastic stay in a beautiful cabin overlooking the great smoky mountains. Close to pigeon forge but away from the hustle of the town. The place itself was beautiful and clean and had amazing amenities. The swing and rocking chairs on the balcony made for great family morning coffees.

Our stay at Outrageous Cabins was absolutely wonderful! The scenery was beautiful, and the unit was amazing! Check-in was simple and easy. The unit looked exactly like the pictures, and every room was clean and felt like home. The upstairs loft/gameroom was perfect for my son. All of the games worked and the upstairs balcony area was so peaceful! The jacuzzi tub was my favorite amenity! it was great for soaking. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the den area was very comfy for watching movies. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for me, and the bed was very comfortable and cozy. The location of the cabin was great as well. It was very close to a lot of attractions and great places to eat. I will definitely book this cabin again!

Best view I’ve ever had. Can see the entire mountain range from the balconies. The cabin was clean and spacious, the hot tub was clean and hot, and they provided information of surrounding things to do and see. Only negatives we experienced were how slick the stairs were if you’re wearing socks (dangerous going up and especially down the stairs) and if the weather is windy it sounds like someone is trying to open your doors over and over again. Other than that I thought the cabin was amazing and would definitely stay there again in the future. Definitely worth the stay.

Wonderful, helpful staff! We had to adjust our time-line and come in a day early due to a winter storm. We were able to add a night for a great rate! All messages to staff were replied to quickly! The cabin is beautiful, and the view is breathtaking!

We stayed here with our 5 year old and 1 year old. The cabin was absolutely beautiful! Our 1 year old slept in a pack and play and our 5 year old slept in the loft upstairs. We really enjoyed the hot tub. The kids also enjoyed the huge bathtub! The views were amazing. We will will definitely be back!

Stay was so easy to book- easiest check in and out ever. Fantastic details made it so easy. Amazingly clean and appointed. Great stay and even had a visitor (Bear) during the night outside. Fantastic views, hot tub, pool table--everything was more than expected. Order Pizza from Pizza at The Cove with Linda- amazing food and service and don't miss "The Alamo Steakhouse" for outstanding meals. Terrific get-a-way

The cabin was clean and checking in and out was easy.

I hosted a book retreat weekend at the cabin & it was perfect for what we needed! The view was perfect & the hot tub was amazing!
It was a very peaceful neighborhood & it was super relaxing. The only issue we ran into was that the toaster was fidgety & it took a while to get the TV remote control to work.
Communication with Outrageous Cabin was great & they were very kind. Will definitely use them again!
My only personal recommendation is if you are a light sleeper to sleep in the loft-you can hear all walking above you if you sleep downstairs (this is just a personal preference thing & has no effect on the cabin itself, just thought i would give a heads up)!

The cabin was absolutely perfect! Beautiful peaceful views. Generously spacious with many games (pool table, air hockey, foosball) our teen really appreciated! We'll definitely come back! Bonus- nightly fireworks seen from Dollywood! Woohoo!

Very beautiful views, and clean cabin

That was the best vacations we ever had!!! The view was absolutely breathtaking! There wasn’t a spec of dirt in sight! We could not have asked for a better location and cabin. We loved playing the games with our son. We were so impressed and will use them again. It is in a perfect location in between pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg out of the crowds but not to far to enjoy the amazing restaurants and attractions. 1000% recommend!!!

Perfect place for my family of four. Easy to get to Pigeon Forge and not too far from Gatlinburg. Seeing the fireworks from Dollywood every night from our cabin was a special treat too. Would def rent from them again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The view was breathtaking! The cabin was clean and the location was perfect! We were able to access Pigeon Forge within 10 min and Gatlinburg was an easy 20-25 min. The game room and hot tub were great, our kids thoroughly enjoyed it! I was a little bummed that the sunset wasn’t what was described in the reviews. I think there have been new cabins put up or something that blocked most of our view. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Wow! What an amazing stay! We spent the week with our little family (4 and 6). This cabin was the perfect size for our little family. The cabin is beautiful. The kids loved the games upstairs. Once the kids were tucked into bed my husband and I were able to enjoy the hot tub every night.

A few nearby places we visited were Parrot Mountain and Gardens, The Island, Dollywood, The Great Smokey Mountains National Park and we shopped in Gatlinburg. None of these places disappointed and the cottage was close to everything but you are enough out of town where you get out of the craziness.

We absolutely loved our stay! The host was very responsive when we needed to add a day onto our travel because of bad weather. Overall 10/10! I highly recommend.

Great cabin!

Absolutely amazing a must stay everything was exactly as pictured the location of the cabin was on the top of the hill so the view from the porch was breathtaking. The cabin was not far from a lot of attractions and restaurants however the drive up and down the mountain can be a bit so you might want to get everything you need before you head back up for the night The cabin was immaculate the hot tub was amazing as was the whirlpool bathtub I didn’t want to leave it was just so gorgeous. I highly recommend and I definitely will be back. Be sure to wake up early so you can catch the sunrise it was breathtaking

The cabin was as described, so peaceful, clean, and well taken care of. The location is nice also. Seems like you are secluded but still convenient to the strip.

Perfect couple getaway

Great spot for a weekend getaway... spent many ours in the hot tub, which was heated and ready when we arrived. Awesome weekend.

If you want to get in the hot tub first night down there, you have to wait for it to warm up. Like 6 hours. That was the only bad thing I could say and that our view was not the best because there was so much fog! The last day it was clearer. Not the cabins fault but be mindful of weather!

This was our second year in a row staying at this cabin and we will definitely be booking again!! Great location, stunning views and all around perfect.

Only problem we had, the couch was not usable in the living room. Almost like a sectional that wasn’t together and the recliner feature didn’t work.

This was a GREAT location but we went during the storm. The pictures does it no justice; it is truly amazing. When you think of a nice cabin, this is what you are talking about.
The owners were very responsive and made sure we were good to go. Looking forward to staying again next season

Exactly like the pictures! My family took my dad here for his birthday, it was the most perfect cabin we could have imagined. The views were amazing, like a postcard kind of amazing, us 4 loved it and we will be returning! we are so thankful we found this place, so private and the inside is very spacious with lots of fun games inside! if your looking for a cabin stay in this area you will not be disappointed! woo!

Our stay at the love nest was perfect! It truly has million dollar views! The game room was fun and the beds were comfortable. One of the showers even had two shower heads! We were bummed we didn’t see a bear, but maybe that’s a good thing!

Our girls are 4 and 6 and loved all the games, the hot tub, the great park right behind us. We spent 2 days in Dollywood and we were able to easily come back for nap and go back, like 5 minutes. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Love Nest. Although the cabin is relatively close to other cabins, it still has a really private feel. We had no issues during our stay. Everything worked perfectly. Plenty to do within the cabin as well as the surrounding area.

We took our 10yr & 6 yr old grands for a weekend and had a blast! They loves the upstairs games room and the close location to everything in Pigeon Forge was great! The resort and Love Neat has amazing views! Everything we needed was provided!

Great cabin! Amazing views! My family and I would stay here year after year. The location was great and central to all of the local attractions. Beds were comfortable and the full kitchen and washer and dryer were life changing for a family vacationing with a child under 1. I loved spending the mornings on the deck drinking my coffee and soaking in the Mountain Views.

One very small thing to note, the bed pillows were not great so bring your own.

One of our greatest airbnb stays to date! Breathtaking views, cabin equipped for all ages, kids loved all the activities and arcade games. Hot tub on the balcony was a huge plus. Most essentials were provided. We really enjoyed our time here, thank you!

Stunning views, comfortable bed and couches, within range of Instacart and DoorDash, plenty of towels, tv in every room. This cabin had everything we could have asked for for a romantic weekend getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at the “love nest”! The views from the cabin are BEAUTIFUL and everything was clean! The beds were comfortable but we did bring our own pillows. Kitchen was well stocked and had what we needed! We loved the swing and hot tub on the porch as well! We would stay again!

We had a very restful stay. This place is ideal for adults who want to get away from it all. If you want total privacy, you might want to be very picky when choosing a cabin. Surrounding Cabins could see into ours, which made it uncomfortable to be romantic on the deck or by the hot tub.

Gorgeous cabin!

Outrageous Cabins are a great getaway in the smokies. Tons of things to do minutes away- great scenic views from the cabin. This one is near the top of the mountain and is stocked with everything we needed to make a full Christmas dinner in the kitchen. Thanks!

This cabin was the PERFECT getaway! It’s super cute, cozy, and the beds are so comfortable! The views are stunning and it felt like a home away from home. We will definitely be back!

Everything was spotless. The view was amazing. We relaxed every night in the hot tub with a glass of wine looking at the mountains & stars. Location was great. We will be booking this cabin again for next time.

Loved our stay! The cabin was close to everything, but far enough from the hustle and bustle so we could relax in nature. Highly recommend!

In a few words, dated and overpriced. The view was as claimed, amazing. Also, being on a mountainside, we got our fair share of views of some bears (mama and 3 cubs). I read some reviews that dispute the view, they're wrong, the view is amazing. And technically, all the amenities are there, but just dated. The pool table felt was coming up and only had one working que. The air hockey goals were broken with the pucks falling on the floor after each goal. The gaming table exists, but the controls are so used and abused it was almost unusable. All of this was kind of a bummer for the kids who were greatly looking forward to these things. It's clear these 3 things hadn't been refreshed in years. That said, the fussball table had no issues. The hot tub had jets that weren't working and the large bathtub wouldn't turn on (I did contact the mgmt group and they sent someone RFN and fixed it). The showerheads were "loose" (the mounting) and the upstairs hardware was dated and could use some caulk and grout. Finally, there was a storm and we had water coming in through the walls in the downstairs bedroom and near the fireplace. Overall, it was meh/ok - right in the middle - but for the price I expected more. Oh, and the bears... While there was a special garbage receptacle that had a clip to prevent the bears from opening them, they still managed to tip it over and claw one garbage bag out. Not complaining about that at all; we were in bear territory. Just a note that we saw bears every day and it became routine for Dad (me) to go out first whenever we left (we did see them out back during the day) to look for bears before the kids went outside.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean and comfortable, the views are spectacular, and the game room was fun on a rainy weekend.

Something I wasn’t expecting was that the upstairs has a bed, but it’s not a closed off bedroom, it’s like a loft with the games. The downstairs is the only closed off bedroom. Also a previous review said to bring your own pillows, but I thought they were good.

Amazing views, convenient location, clean and well-appointed! The drive up to the cabin is steep and winding but the view at the top is worth it! Convenient to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cabin is clean, spacious, nicely decorated and full of fun amenities like hot tub and game room. Great for a couple, a family or group of friends.

The location was nice!
I contacted the host one hour before their office close but I didn’t heard anything back and we had to check out the following morning without hearing back from them.

Nice cabin, we felt safe here. HUGE BONUS plus that most places don't offer...they don't provide only a starter. There were 2 rolls of paper towels, plenty of trash bags and toilet paper. Most places you're lucky to get a 1/2 roll. For this HUGE KUDOS.
One thing to point out... I should have read the full description where it says the cabins are somewhat closer together and to call to get a more private one. The one we had, it was great to only have 1 cabin next to it.... BUT what I didn't expect was it being called Love Nest and there was a play ground basically below where we were staying so being on our honeymoon and hearing kids while trying to relax/romance. On any other vacation, it wouldn't have been as bad...but not how I expected our honeymoon. Not the hosts fault at all...mine for not reading closer. There is PLENTY of games to play which filled our rainy days. Being able to look out in the mountains was beautiful. I would definitely not hesitate to rent from these owners again.

Also what I loved about this place it’s close to Gatlinburg’s downtown is just about 15 minutes or less to get there. My cabin was wonderful. Whether sitting in the rockers or swing on the lower deck or the rockers or hot tub on the upper deck, we spent a lot of our trip enjoying that view. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Love Nest! It was accessible to everywhere we went during our time in TN, and we would definitely book again! The only thing we would recommend is to pack certain things you wouldn't think to bring: salt, pepper, cooking spray, etc... but it wasn't a big deal to run to the store. We appreciated the timely responses from our hosts regarding our needs as well. If you're looking for a nice place for a getaway, this cabin has plenty of activities to elevate your stay!

The Love Nest was everything it's advertised as. It's location is very convenient to get to and very close to everything you might want to do. The old Atari game console brought back many childhood memories. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Love Nest cabin in Pigeon Forge. We go every year and have stayed in this community a few times. However, we've never stayed in a cabin that was maintained so well and clean. We were greeted with towel animals, which was an extra touch! The location is wonderful and convenient to everything. We could faintly hear the train whistle from Dollywood from the porch, which was a soothing sound. The way the porches are set up, we aren't looking right at the neighbors, which is nice. We sat on the porch each morning and evening enjoying the beauty of the mountains. The beds were extremely comfortable, as was the furniture. The only drawback was that you can't actually see the sunset or sunrise from the cabin. However, the view was absolutely breathtaking without it. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the Love Nest to ring in the New Year this year with our two young children and were very pleased. While the pictures make the house look a little more spacious than it is in reality, there was still no disappointment. The pool table and air hockey and foosball (sp?) were all very entertaining for our son. The hot tub gave us a very relaxing place to unwind after the kids were asleep and ringing in the New Year watching fireworks going off over the Smokey Mountains is something I couldn't have planned if I tried. It was beautiful! A couple slight disappointments were the view from the upper deck. The pictures appear to have been photo shopped to remove the near by houses from the view. Granted we did visit in the winter where the trees were dead, but even in full bloom, you would have seen the roofs of the houses. It's still a lovely, open view, but we weren't expecting to see so many houses. Also, there is a great playground within walking distance from this house, which is awesome for those with kids.... the only down side is the playground is designed for kids ages 5-12, so our 3 year old wasn't able to really enjoy much of it given it was too advanced. Not the owner's fault, just a slight disappointment. All in all, this house was great! Very well kept and the beds are super comfortable! Oh and the swivel TV in the upstairs bedroom was awesome! We were able to watch the NCAA Playoffs while relaxing in the hot tub :-). I would recommend this house, but warn you, if you're looking for seclusion, this would not be the right location. The neighborhood is peaceful, but you will have neighbors.

We just returned from our stay in the "Love Nest". It was absolutely awesome! We enjoyed everything about this cabin. It was very, very clean. The decor was up to date and very nicely done. The layout was nice and we had plenty of room to spread out as well as plenty of privacy. The hot tub and jacuzzi were very relaxing. Our 11 year old had lots to keep him busy with the pool table, air hockey, and foosball. We were also pleased about how close we were to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood while at the same time feeling like you were away from it all. We have stayed at many places over the years, yours is definitely one of the best. We will positively book an Outrageous Cabin again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!
